Why do you need a dental bridge?

Dental bridges are used to replace missing teeth. Missing teeth can cause an increased risk for periodontal disease and a greater chance of tooth decay, a change in your bite, shifting of teeth, TMJ and speech impediments.

Types of dental bridges available

A dental bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and are supported by natural teeth or implants.

There are three main types of dental bridges:

• Traditional bridges
• Cantilever bridges
• Resin-bonded bridge (also called a Maryland bridge)
